The distraction gave Batman the time needed to break free and stop the madman. Batman opened the Trophy Room, allowing the man to see the T-Rex and immediately started attacking the mechanical dinosaur. The T-Rex was used once as distraction when an amnesic actor, who believed himself to be a caveman, managed to infiltrate the Batcave by accident and prepared some traps for Batman and Robin. The heroes combined their forces and they dropped a big stalactite from the Batcave's ceiling unto the T-Rex's mechanical head. The T-Rex was finally destroyed for good when Hugo Strange used the Cosmic Rod to manipulate the robot and use it against Robin, Batwoman and the Batman of Earth-One. The T-Rex and all the other objects were placed on a temporary location which served as a Batman Museum until Batman captured the criminal and he was able to move the dinosaur and all the other objects back. The T-Rex was once disassembled and removed from the Batcave along with all the other elements when a criminal threatened to locate the Batcave and use it as his hideout. However, both trophies were repaired and back on their places in a short time. Because of this, both the dinosaur and the penny were seriously damaged. Batman was forced to act fast and he used the Giant Penny to stop the giant robot from crushing Robin. The villain used some of the trophies in the Batcave to his advantage and he tried to crush Robin using the mechanical dinosaur.

Shortly after getting the dinosaur and the giant penny, a criminal called Wolf Brando broke into the Batcave and confronted Batman and Robin. It is often used whenever there is an unwanted intrusion in the Batcave. Later on, the dinosaur became one of the main centerpieces of the Batcave along with the Giant Penny and the Giant Joker Card. This theme park should not be confused with the better-known Dinosaur Island.Īfter defeating Hart's mechanical contraptions, Batman was given the mechanical dinosaur as a memento of this adventure and he placed it along the rest of souvenirs from Batman's early cases, in a place called The Trophy Room.

If you expect a Jurassic Park style movie then you’ll probably be disappointed, however if you want a movie that isn’t violent and isn’t packed with vulgarity then like me you might just love this movie. The mechanical T-Rex is a robot that first appeared when Batman fought in Murray Hart's theme park known as "Dinosaur Island".

In Dinosaur Island, they looked very CGI, but they were much better than anything the TV series Terra Nova ever offered. Mind you, Jurassic Park has nothing to worry about. Speaking of the dinosaurs, I think they spent the vast majority of the budget on the special effects for the dinos. I’m not sure if there was a color in the rainbow they didn’t put on that dinosaur.

The raptors were interesting to look at, but the Tyrannosaurus Rex looked ridiculous with all those colors. Be forewarned that the dinosaurs look like they fell in an Easter egg coloring kit. This movie was geared up primarily for kids, as the two leads are teenagers. Throughout the movie, the two find themselves going through a few adventures. Lucas informs her that she would actually be closer to 70 since the year is 2014. A young girl – Kate – saves Lucas and takes him to her makeshift house, where she tells him that she is 16, and her birth year is 1940. The boy awakens on a beach far back in pre-history and shortly thereafter finds himself pursued by three raptors. When the boy gets on a plane, the crystal begins to interact with the aircraft, causing it to disappear. Lucas, a young boy, finds a crystal among his dad’s belongings in an old house that neither of his parents want to take care of any longer. Our extreme prejudice against unfeathered avian dinosaurs on screen is well-known, so imagine our delight that the first trailer of the new Dinosaur Island reveals a fantastically fluffy Tyrannosaurus Rex!
